POLKA DOT PARTY FOR CHRISTMAS

Last night, Drew and I did a simple
Christmas Treats Table at one of the churches.
Simple is the key word as we're usually
making supper for 110 people of all ages.
We only do special dessert tables
about once a month or for holidays.
It's a lot of work,
but we are blessed to have this job.
I am blessed to work with Drew.
He's becoming really great at this stuff.
For the supper last night...
not shown here...
we made Italian Beef, Pulled Pork and
Rotisserie-Flavored Chicken Sandwiches.
Drew made 5-Cheese Mac-n-Cheese and
we also baked Tator Tots
for those who can't eat cheese.
We had our garden salad,
fruits and veggies as usual.
Recipes will be posted on the other blog.
Below, we have details on the
shopping info if you are interested.

JOY napkins and HO HO HO
tissue paper are from Target.
Large and small cupcake liners are all Wilton Brand
from Walmart, Michael's or Amazon.
Baking cups and Washi tape all from www.shopsweetlulu.com.
We make our own cupcake picks.
This time we used two Martha Stewart punches,
a snowflake one and a Christmas ornament one.
I can't recall where we got the larger punch from,
but the paper and the cardstock is all from
Walmart, Target, Archiver's or Michael's.

We used the polka dot washi tape
to make flags with toothpicks for the
mini cupcakes picks on the right, above.
More info under the pictures below.

Drew frosted small and large cupcakes with
Pillsbury White and Green frosting in the can.

There are many food allergies at the church.
We can NOT use tree nuts
or peanut butter in anything. It's too risky.
We always serve something healthy or milk-free,
like the OLD DUTCH plain popcorn
in these baking cups and
these wrapped little boxes of raisins in holiday paper.
We ran out of time, so we did not get
all of the bows finished for the raisin "presents".

Below, you may notice Rolos's and then in pictures above, Hershey Kisses with stickers on the bottom.
We made our own with a 3/4 inch circle punch,
from Amazon.com and then used
Scotch Brand Adhesive Dot Roller
to adhere the circles to the bottom.
Paper is from Michael's.
Merry CHRISTmas Everyone!

This past weekend, we did our women's Christmas Brunch.  It was great to work with some of my favorite young people.  We were asked to make egg bakes and Christmas treats.
We were also asked to keep it simple and easy to clean up.  Our family also had a car club Christmas Banquet to attend following the women's brunch, so we had to leave right away.  I also wanted my favorite young people to make things their way too.

How about yogurt, pudding, cheesecake parfaits with raspberry or strawberry pie filling?

Green Mint Oreo's with our added frosting and sprinkles on top and
large Christmas Cornflake wreaths!

Decorated Fudge-Covered Ritz.

Chocolate Coated Candy-Cane Oreo's with sprinkles and donut hole pops!
Egg Bakes and Pancake Muffins.  Recipes on our other blog!

Patt brought her magic punch recipe and supplies!  YUM!!!  I couldn't get enough of this!
It was actually a warm day outside and with the ovens going strong, we really needed this!!!

Thanks guys for all your work and fun times!
I appreciate you!

 Pre-Thanksgiving Fun!
Yesterday, at the church,  I gave Drewman a bag of craft supplies & baby Tootsie Pops. I asked him if he could come up with some kind of a turkey.  This is what he came up with & I am really proud of him!  We put this out with the cookies & brownie bites & the kids rushed right  in.  We'll replenish it & use it for next week's pie night at our church too.  Happy Thanksgiving to you & yours!

Quick Halloween Treats!

Easy Halloween Treat Buffet!

When we're serving dinner for over 100, it's not easy doing dessert buffets also.

We just don't have the time & space to do all that we would want to do.  Here's some simple ideas we used this year at one of the churches.     The 3 of us were able to do these quick items in about 3-4 hours, while also cooking & serving a spaghetti supper.  There weren't too many leftovers, so we did ok at guessing how much we would need.
Happy Halloween Everyone!

A Short-n-Sweet Evening Wedding Shower including the men and kids.  Drew, Niece, Sissy, myself and Precious Church Friends threw it together on one of our hottest summer nights this year! We kept it simple with no air-conditioning at the church...we served open-faced sandwiches, fruit cups, chips and cupcakes!  Sure appreciate our basement church gals & guys!
